DR G C Gibson, writing from the Czech Republic, seems to have an unhealthy compulsion to attack the RSPCA.

This old story about folk caring more for animals than humans is always lobbed up like a tired tennis serve.

If anyone is cruel to an animal, wild or domestic, would you really want them dealing with your children? Perhaps in those Czech mountains, if an animal moves, shoot it. Other areas of the world have moved on and we recognise the importance of balance in nature.

Ideally the RSPCA or the NSPCC would never be needed. While they are needed I am glad they are around.
