RE: What a racist town.
This is exactly the problem, race has nothing to do with it — black, blue, Muslim, Christian, this is purely practical.
On October 2 there will be a march in Manchester demonstrating against cuts. Ask anyone on the march, given a choice of putting millions into our public services or giving it to people who do not contribute to our system to the tune of 40 per cent equivalent of the NHS budget, what would they prefer to do?
You are wrong to call me a racist, I have worked with many people of different cultures and religions. I hold no grudge or hatred for them.
But at the same time, we are an island with a finite capacity and a finite income and we need to understand what we can and cannot afford.
It’s called being practical, not racist. You can spin it how you want but it’s reality.
