I HAVE never heard anything more ridiculous than sending an 11-year-old boy to senior school with a ponytail hairdo. (Dad takes son, 11, out of school in row over ponytail, Wednesday, September 21).

The boy’s parents are to blame in the first place for the poor child having a ponytail. I ask you. Does a toddler say: “Daddy I would like my hair in a ponytail”? Never.

The child must feel terribly embarrassed by the whole business. Every school has its rules that should be adhered to.

Get the ponytail chopped off dad and have a bit of common sense for your son’s sake.
