I WAS amazed to read in The Bolton News about the uncertainty surrounding the Phoenix Theatre, in Bark Street, after extolling its virtues in an earlier edition - "Welcome to the Phoenix, opening doors for young people in the North-west".
Are we still opening doors?
This performing arts group has given a meaning to the young and all who participate in every aspect of this wonderful club. It opens its doors to anyone and everyone.
The staff are very hard working and everyone is known by name to them.
The people who represent the future of our town in developing and planning should remember there are young people living in Bolton, look after them and include them in future planning.
Phoenix has allowed young people to mix and make friends and Bark Street is accessible to all, being in Bolton town centre.
