THE problem of over-crowded trains travelling between Bolton and Manchester has once again been reported in The Bolton News.

My husband and I had the misfortune to experience this last week, when we were told by the guard that the train was too full for us to get on - along with 30 other would-be passengers.

We pointed out that there was plenty of room in the aisles, and asked him to request people to move down and leave the doorway free.

He very rudely answered: "You tell them", waved the train off, and disappeared.

It appears that inconsiderate passengers, an unhelpful guard and the railway company, who only put two carriages on a busy route, should all share the blame.
