With reference to your news item "Brutal attack prompts call for cop shop", and the recent mounted police presence in Bromley Cross. I think this is a bit like shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted.
I cannot understand why the police advertised in advance that they would be patrolling the area. Surely the idea should be to surprise and catch the yobs?
Also, why has it taken so long for the police to react to a situation that has been going on for months? The last time I visited the area on a Saturday evening, the only individuals who felt safe were the yobs.
If the police eventually install a cop shop in Bromley Cross then the public of Bolton beware, because the yobs will simply find somewhere else to cause trouble.
