READING The Bolton News (April 13), I came on the advert from Belle Vue stadium, which is promoting greyhound racing.

Greyhound racing is a terribly cruel business and the greyhound is definitely not the king. He is the slave who is made to run. The slaves get injured quite often and therefore put to death. Then there are thousands of such unfortunate slave greyhounds who are thought unable to run and therefore destroyed.

It can safely be said that whosoever comes to bet at Belle Vue comes to bet that dogs do die. I just hope that in future, you would consider all these facts before promoting a business steeped in cruelty.
