TELEVISION audiences tuning into Saturday night must be prepared to be taken on a journey through their favourite films — but like never before!

One of Bolton’s favourite funny men is taking on some of the Hollywood’s most iconic films.

Paddy McGuinness joins good friend and fellow comedian Keith Lemon for the premiere of their new show at the weekend.

The duo will be starring in The Keith & Paddy Picture Show where they recreate some of their favourite movies of all time, adding their own unique twist.

A host of big names have joined the journey to bring big screen hits like Jaws, Star Wars and Ghost Busters to the small screen.

In the run up to Saturday’s first show on ITV Paddy has taken to social media to celebrate.

He wrote: “Just seen our advert on the telly! Kids are thrilled.

“Not long now till the Keith and Paddy Picture show starts!!!

“Really hope you like it! First film we’re recreating...Dirty Dancing!”

Starting at 9.15pm, Paddy and Keith will be joined by Larry Lamb, Jessica Hynes, John Barrowman and Kimberly Wyatt as they take on the iconic 80s dancing drama.

Paddy steps into the shoes of Patrick Swayze’s dreamboat holiday camp dancer Johnny, while Keith hitches up his skirts and takes on Jennifer Grey’s watermelon-carrying duties as Baby.

Pussycat Doll singer Kimberly, who plays dancer Penny, said: “I’m thrilled to be part of this exciting, brand new show with the hilarious Keith and Paddy.

“Dirty Dancing is one of my all-time favourite films so I’m excited to get on the dance floor and teach Baby a thing or two!”

The five-part series of half hour episodes will also welcome the likes of Marcella star Anna Friel as Adrian Balboa, Andi Peters as Mr T and former JLS popstar Marvin Humes as Apollo Creed for a recreation of Rocky.

DCI Banks actor Stephen Tompkinson will take on the role of Quint in Jaws, with other cameo appearances include Robbie Williams, Will Mellor, Sarah Parrish and Emma Willis for Ghostbusters.

Other epics include Philip Schofield as Yoda, Michelle Keegan as Princess Leia and fuzzy Ant and Dec Ewoks for an epic adaption of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

Fans have already enjoyed a few sneak previews of the pair in action, including a snap of them dressed as the stars of ITV hit drama series Broadchurch and taking to the National Television Awards 2017 red carpet dressed as their Dirty Dancing characters.

Both Keith and Paddy are darlings of the ITV schedule.

Keith’s Celebrity Juice panel show is enjoying its 17th series at the moment while he was also chosen to front the revival of iconic 90s show Through the Keyhole.

Paddy has gone from staring as fellow Boltonian Peter Kay’s sidekick in Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere to being one of televisions most popular personalities.

This weekend will cement his status as kick of Saturday night entertainment with a double double billing as he not only leads proceedings in the ninth series of dating gameshow Take Me Out but an hour later hits screens again with the new show.
