RAFAEL Benitez was totally disrespectful to Everton Football Club, its history and their fans when he called them a "small club" to a national television audience.
Managers say some cheeky things after a frustrating result and that is exactly what Benitez did.
I don't buy the suggestion this insult was due to Benitez not having a good enough command of the English language.
People trot out that excuse every time he says something controversial, such as the criticisms he directs at Bolton Wanderers before every match between them and after the ones Liverpool don't win. Benitez knows exactly what he is saying.
