BLACKROD is a fascinating little village with a rich history and here we see the Blackrod Library pictured in 1976.
The village has a true community feel and some of the residents can proudly say their ancestors lived there too.
It was once a village filled with mining families with the men working in the many local mines once standing proudly in the area.
