A DECADE of decadence will be celebrated in Ramsbottom this weekend when it hosts its tenth annual Chocolate Festival.

The hugely popular festival is a chocoholics’ paradise selling everything from chocolate cheese to chocolate wine.

Children’s rides, Lancashire Hawks and Owls, The Dogs Trust and the RSPB will be among the entertainments on offer and there will also be a gin truck and prosecco waggon.

New this year is an Easter “rock” hunt where those lucky enough to find one of the special rocks can exchange it for a chocolate egg.

There will also be a range of gift stalls where visitors can browse and buy.

In the unlikely event that chocolate is not to your taste, a wide range of hot street food – including gourmet burgers, noodles, Yorkshire pudding wraps and toasties – will also be served up.

The festival extends throughout the town centre and stalls can be found on Bridge Street, Market Place the Civic Hall, Church Gardens and on the Saturday market car parks.

The outdoor festival opens at 9.30am and closes at 5pm Saturday and 4pm on Sunday. The indoor food and craft Market inside the Civic Hall is open from 9.30am to 2.30pm.
