A VILLAGE shop manager has welcomed plans to install a CCTV system in Daisy Hill.
Kalpesh Patel, manager at Bargain Booze off licence, in Lower Leigh Road, believes councillors have the right idea by looking into installing a system in the village.
The idea, to combat anti-social behaviour among youths, was backed by Westhoughton Town Council who suggested installing a camera outside Bargain Booze.
Mr Patel, who has been manager for five months, said: "CCTV is a great idea for the village but I don't think it is necessary outside my shop."
He suggested that a camera be installed outside St James Church, in St James Street, instead.
