TEAM GB ICE HOCKEY:
Great Britain Men will warm up for the Olympic final qualifiers with a game against an Import Select side at Ice Sheffield on Tuesday 5th February 2013.
The import side will be made up of players from the Elite League and the English Premier League.
GB will then travel to Latvia on Wednesday 6th February ahead of the four-team tournament which gets under way on the Thursday, where they will face the hosts, as well as France and Kazakhstan.
Head coach, Tony Hand, said: “This will be good way to build up to such an important tournament with the Winter Olympics in sight.
“We don’t often get chance to have much preparation for a tournament, so this game will test us ahead of the qualification in Latvia.”
Ice Hockey UK general secretary, Andy French, added: “I like to thank Ice Sheffield for hosting this game and the various clubs across the UK who will be sending players.”
