A BUSINESSMAN has been fined after complaints about waste outside his takeaway shop.

An environmental health officer launched an investigation last September after complaints about poor waste storage at LA Pizza, in Water Street, Radcliffe.

It was discovered that owner Amir Dandanfard, aged 34, had no means of disposing of waste and did not have paperwork to demonstrate how he had been disposing it.

He was given a fixed penalty notice for failure to produce waste transfer notes, but did not pay it and was prosecuted.

Dandanfard, of Sidbury Walk, Manchester, pleaded guilty at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court to failing to produce waste transfer notes between September 6 and October 1, 2012.

He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £135 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Dandanford is no longer the owner of LA Pizza.
