BOLTON County may have lost one of their leading marksmen, but they have not let it affect them.

The newly-promoted Division One side lost Mitchell Leece to Premier Division outfit Eagley earlier this week after he had scored five goals for Henry Chapman’s men They had scored 21 times in six matches ahead of their tie with BAC/EE Preston at the weekend.

The home side were trailing after 20 minutes and hit back when Tom Aspin took his tally to seven goals for the season five minutes later.

Both sides scored two goals in the 35th minute to make it 2-2, and County won it with two goals in the last 10 minutes through Joe Fielding and Liam Stewart.

Joe Jackson grabbed a consolation goal for Turton in a 4-1 defeat to Lostock St Gerards.

In the Premier Division, Eagley had to settle for a point at Burnley United where Leece and Matthew Carr got their goals.

Tempest are still without a win since August 20 as they went down 3-0 to pace-setters Garstang.

Ladybridge are the highest of Division Two’s three local teams after a 2-0 win over Walney Island.

Jordan Hussey and Tim Raines struck as the three points moved them up to eighth.

Hot on their heels are CMB who had a resounding 7-2 win at Barrow Wanderers where Jamie Boyd scored a hat-trick and Mike McGinlay, Andrew Warburton, Graham Leigh and Will Archer were also on target.

Stoneclough showed some fighting spirit as they grabbed two goals in the second half through Danny Wharton and Neil Lyham but they were too late to make a difference to Kendal County’s four first half strikes.
