TWO men have denied murdering Fusilier Lee Rigby.
Michael Adebolajo, aged 28, and Michael Adebowale, aged 22, appeared at the Old Bailey via videolink this morning.
They also each denied attempting to murder a police officer on May 22 — the day of Fusilier Rigby's death in London — and conspiracy to murder a police officer on or before that day.
Mr Rigby, from Middleton, was a drummer with the second battalion of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.
Thousands of people turned out to pay their respects when his funeral was held at Bury Parish Church in July.
There are plans for a permanent memorial to be erected at Gallipoli Garden, in Silver Street, next to the Fusilier Museum.
