A THIEF has been jailed for 20 weeks for stealing a £2,500 interactive video screen from a school.
Thomas Chadwick, aged 24, of Crowland Road, Tonge Moor, pleaded guilty to the theft from Tonge Moor Primary School on December 18.
Appearing at Bolton Magistrates Court, he also admitted two counts of theft of stealing lager worth £22.50 from a Co-op supermarket on November 28.
Chadwick was given a 14-week sentence for the school theft, to reflect the damage inflicted to the wall-mounted screen and the fact he was drunk at the time.
He was also given a two-week sentence for the Co-op theft and a further four weeks for attempting to steal scooter on July 5, 2013.
