VANDALS killed a pigeon during a wrecking spree at a school.
They broke into Ladybridge High School, in Deane, forcing locks on two shed doors and smashing a ground floor window in the main building.
They killed a pigeon in the first shed before destroying four fish tanks in the second one, which is in the school's farm area.
The vandals then shattered a ground floor window in the school but nothing was stolen.
The incident happened between 1pm on Saturday, December 30, and 10am on Sunday, December 31.
Police are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Sgt Ian Brammer, of Bolton Police, said: "This is one of the more unusual crimes we have seen and it's quite disturbing for pupils at the school.
"We are asking any witnesses to come forward."
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 0161 856 0963 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
