Leigh RMI 2 Workington Reds 0:
LEIGH'S remarkable run continued with their fifth successive Conference North victory and their second over the Cumbrian outfit in a week.
The Railwaymen grabbed a 1-0 win on Boxing Day against promotion-chasing Workington and clinched the double with a superb second half display.
The game was goalless after a dour first half, but after the break RMI pressed forward and were rewarded with two well-taken goals.
The first came on 69 minutes when Hugh McAuley powered home a drive from 25 yards and 10 minutes later Ruan Lugsden scampered round two defenders and then the keeper to score a superb individual goal.
Workington's only chance came 10 minutes from time when a thumping header rebounded off the crossbar.
