A TEENAGER was stabbed in the leg when he was attacked by a gang.
The 16-year-old boy was walking along Heywood Road in Whitefield with two friends when he was confronted by a group of youths at around 9.30pm.
The three boys ran off along St Mary's Road where the boy was stabbed.
Officers are keen to trace a black car, possibly a Ford Focus or Vauxhall Astra, which was at the scene at the time of the incident.
The boy was taken to hospital where he is said to be in a stable condition.
