THE parents of a brave little boy living with an agonising skin condition are adding the finishing touches to their wedding plans.
Rhys Williams, aged eight, suffers from epidermolysis bullosa (EB), an agonising condition, which causes painful skin blistering and leads to open sores.
As part of his bucket list — a list of things he wants to achieve — he told his mum and dad, Tanya Moores and Mark Williams, he wanted to see them tie the knot.
And with a little persuasion from friends, Rhys’ wish will now come true when the couple marry tomorrow at Mere Hall.
Miss Moores says she has been overwhelmed with generous offers from family, friends and even strangers in the run up the wedding.
The mum-of-three, who lives in Whalley Avenue, Johnson Fold, said: “I’m feeling very nervous at the moment and have still got a few things left to arrange.
“But apart from that, we’re all looking forward to it.
“People have been so amazing with helping us. I can’t thank them enough.”
The Johnson Fold Primary School pupil’s bucket list also includes treating his sister Michaela, aged 11, to a day being a princess and going to Spain on holiday.
