SWISS international midfielder, Blerim Dzemaili, claims to be close to agreeing a deal which will see him link up with Wanderers in the summer.

Dzemali, who plays for FC Zurich, has trained with Wanderers and says contract talks are at an advanced stage.

Wanderers have refused to comment on reports but the versatile 20-year-old of Albanian origin told Albaniasoccer.com: "I have been in talks with the British club's directors.

"They have expressed interest in me and have asked the club officials of FC Zurich for some information.

"In the next two or three days, I will be able to know more.

"We are on the last chapter of our talks and we are looking over all the details of the contract. The possibility is for me to sign a two-year contract with the option for a third year, if things go well."

He added: "I have agreed to play for FC Zurich in the championship and I will not break the agreement.

"If Bolton will be my future team, I will join the club next summer, after the league ends."

Manchester United defender, Phil Bardsley, who was linked with Wanderers, looks set to join Aston Villa on loan for the rest of the season.

Wanderers, meanwhile, continue to be linked with a host of players as the January transfer frenzy reaches fever pitch.

Real Madrid full-back Miguel Salgado and Boa Vista's French defender, Khalifa Cisse, are among the names doing the rounds on the rumour mill.
