A 27-YEAR-OLD man found guilty of assaulting a woman by beating her was spared jail by magistrates on March 14.
Shayne Francis, of Canberra Street, Clayton, Manchester, denied an assault charge in relation to an incident in Bolton on November 19 last year.
He was ordered to pay £110 of costs and placed under a 12-month supervision order.
Francis must also attend a six-month alcohol treatment programme.
