A man who stole cash from a cafe has been given a suspended sentence and a community order.
Simon Williams, aged 34, of Longfield Road, Daubhill, pleaded guilty to stealing a coffee grinder, worth £1,000, and £500 cash from Caffe Aroma, in Bolton town centre, on March 5.
He also admitted trespassing with intent to steal at Elizabeth House, in the town centre, on February 26.
Bolton magistrates sentenced Williams to eight months in prison, suspended for 18 months.
He was told to attend a drug rehabilitation programme for six months and complete 19 sessions learning building skills. Williams was ordered to pay £500 in compensation and an £80 victim surcharge.
