Back after a five-year break - Fall Out Boy have been missed

It may be almost five years since Fall Out Boy embarked on a worldwide tour, but if the sold out arenas they have been playing have anything to say - it's that these guys have definitely been missed while they were away.

The four piece from Chicago, Illinois, made up of vocalist and guitarist Patrick Stump, bassist Pete Wentz, drummer Andy Hurley and guitarist Joe Trohman, are on tour to both promote the end of their hiatus, but also to endorse their comeback album, Save Rock and Roll.

The arena was full-to-bursting with fans new and old; those excited to see the band play fresh material, and those dedicated supporters who have followed the group since their early teens and were looking forward to seeing their favourite band back together once again.

Fall Out Boy managed a good balance from their massive backlog of tracks to help please everyone, opening with second single off their new album, The Phoenix, before launching into well loved hit, This Aint A Scene, It's A God Damn Arms Race and career defining single Sugar We're Going Down from studio album From Under The Cork Tree, which gave the band mainstream success back in 2005.

With an impressive stage set up, and plenty of energy which kept the crowd dancing and screaming along to every word, there was no sign that Patrick, Pete, Joe and Andy were a little bit older than they were pre-hiatus.

They even managed to keep things interesting when the sound cut out after only three songs, with Patrick taking to the stage with just an acoustic guitar, asking the crowd to keep quiet so we could hear, even without a microphone.

Luckily, things were back up and running within a few minutes and the remainder of the show continued without fault.

Rounding things off the traditional way, with final song, Saturday, the eclectic mix of older and younger fans left with huge smiles on their faces and Fall Out Boy safe in the knowledge that their fans are not going anywhere anytime soon.
