CREATIVE youngsters in Bolton are being called upon to highlight the importance of road safety by creating their own short animated film.
Figures show that 55 child pedestrians and cyclists were injured on Bolton's roads in 2012.
The RAC has joined forces with the THINK! road safety team and Aardman Animations to launch a campaign targeting primary, junior and secondary schools with important road safety messages with the aim of putting an end to child road accidents.
The short film will centre around Horace, pictured right, a new road safety mascot.
The winners could win £1,000 for their school or three runners-up prizes of Aardman model-making workshops.
