CALLS for the government to do more to support grassroots football have been stepped up by MP for Bolton South East David Crausby.
He wrote to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport to ask what steps it was taking to get more people involved in community football.
In her response, minister Helen Grant said the department alongside the Premier League and the FA will invest more than £100 million in improving grassroots facilities.
