UNEMPLOYMENT across Bolton has fallen over the past year by an average of 0.83 per cent, new data has shown.
Figures released by the Office of National Statistics yesterday show almost 1,500 fewer people claimed job seekers allowance in February this year compared with 2013.
Bolton South East has the most unemployed residents, with 5.4 per cent — or 3,291 people — claiming support, compared with 5.1 per cent, equivalent to 2,903 people in Bolton North East.
The unemployment rate in Bolton West is almost half, with 2.9 per cent, or 1,703 people, signing on in February.
