TRAFFIC measures put in place in Westhoughton will remain until the end of April.
Two-way temporary signals were erected on Friday in the junction of Bolton Road and Slack Lane and stay until April 28 while a new HV cable is installed at the site.
The work is being carried out by contractors ENW and the signals will only be in operation at off peak times.
