A WANTED man who was on drugs had a child with him while stealing food from Asda.
Darren Leack, aged 36, was arrested following an appeal in The Bolton News after failing to appear at Bolton Magistrates Court.
Leack, of Tavistock Road, Gilnow, has now appeared at Bolton Magistrates Court, where he was jailed for four weeks.
He admitted stealing food worth £130 from Asda, Middlebrook, on February 9 and food worth £158 from Asda in Burnden Park on March 17.
He also admitted breaching a suspended jail term he was sentenced to in December for theft, assault and criminal damage.
The court heard he was under the influence of drugs when he was arrested and was with a child while one of the crimes was committed.
Magistrates sentenced Leack to eight weeks in prison suspended for 12 months.
