WESTHOUGHTON lost their National Knockout first-round game at Prestwich on Good Friday as the local cricket season returned in glorious sunshine.
The Bolton League side posted 183 (Atiq Uz-Zaman 34, Kieran Paisley 33), after being 154-4 with 14 overs remaining.
Dan Maylor took 2-34 as their Lancashire County League hosts comfortably knocked off the winning runs with seven wickets and 14 over to spare.
