THE sentencing of a pervert was adjourned after he complained of chest pains.

Karl Scramell, aged 36, of Watt Street, Horwich, was due to be sentenced at Bolton Crown Court yesterday for making and possessing indecent pictures of children and inciting a 14-year-old girl to perform sexual acts.

Shortly before the hearing, Scramell told his defence barrister that he was suffering from chronic pains and he was taken to hospital.

Judge Timothy Clayson adjourned the case until next Friday.

Scramell admitted 13 counts of possessing an indecent photograph of a child, He also admitted 10 counts of making an indecent photograph of a child and four counts of inciting sexual behaviour at an earlier hearing.

The charges relate to videos and photographs of two girls, aged 14 and 16, who he persuaded to strip on a computer webcam while he recorded the images.

Police raided Scramell's home last year and found the images which had been recorded between May 2004 and September 2005.
