THE pick of this weekend's racing is over the sticks at Warwick tomorrow, with the first ever running of the Classic Handicap Chase.

This Grade 3 contest, run over three miles five furlongs, looks set to be a competitive affair and could even provide a few clues to this year's Grand National.

The Alan King trained D'argent is likely to line up as favourite.

His one run so far this season came when winning at Cheltenham back in December.

Expected improvement and a step up in trip should see him take plenty of beating.

However, there is plenty to like about some of the other runners, in particular Tana River and Snakebite, who are both in good form.

Tomorrow's other big TV race is the Lanzarote Handicap Hurdle at Kempton, where Irish raider Finger On The Pulse will be looking to extend his winning streak.

The Tom Taaffe-trained gelding has looked impressive on both starts in Ireland this season and should be good enough to complete the hat-trick.

William Hill handicap hurdle winner, Overstrand, will be looking to get his season back on track after last month's disappointing run at Ascot.
