BUS passengers living in New Bury, Little Hulton and Walkden are set to benefit from a price cut.
From today, First Manchester has reduced the price of a weekly ticket for sections of some routes, from £13.50 to £10.
The discount will apply until August 17 and could be extended if there is a big take up.
The lower fare applies to 11 routes, including the 12, 36, 37, 39 and 68.
On the 12 and 39, the discount is valid between Little Hulton and Manchester and, on the 36 and 37, it is valid between New Bury and Manchester .
On the 68, it is valid between New Bury and Worsley.
First’s commercial manager Ian Humphreys said: “We believe this new £10 ticket together with the high frequency of bus services on the corridor will be very popular with customers and we look forward to welcoming more people on board First buses.”
