THE Christie has been praised by health chiefs for its care of dying patients.
The cancer hospital scored well in the National Care of the Dying Audit for Hospitals for its organisation of care.
Dr Richard Berman, The Christie’s consultant in palliative medicine, said: “Care of the dying is extremely important to us at all levels, and we endeavour to ensure very high standards of care are being delivered at all times.
“We have our own in-house specialist palliative care and symptom control team which is well established and fully integrated within the day-to-day running of the hospital. ”
