A UKIP MEP has labelled EU plans to fit new cars with a tracking device as ‘an absolute disgrace’.
Paul Nuttall, Euro MP for the North West, said the UK government has admitted it cannot do anything to stop British drivers having to carry the devices, which the EU claims can send out an SOS to emergency services if the airbag is inflated.
Mr Nuttall said there is no evidence this measure will save lives.
