PEOPLE interested in helping to reform offenders are being encouraged to attend a meeting aimed at launching a community project.
Charity Redeeming Our Communities will be launching ROC Restore in Bolton — which aims to bring together victims and perpetrators of low level crime to agree on a form of restorative justice.
The charity will be working with Bolton Council and the police to deliver the project, which will be the fourth of its kind in the country.
Andy Bell, ROC restore regional development manager, said: “I’m really excited about the difference ROC Restore is going to make in the local communities in Bolton, particularly as that’s where I’m originally from and where I went to school.”
Potential volunteers are asked to attend The Grace Centre in Somerset Road, Bolton tomorrow, between 7pm and 9pm.
