BOLTON Library is having a free screening of Ken Loach’s new documentary, The Spirit of ’45, on Friday, July 5, at 7pm.
The documentary focuses on the 1945 general election and the creation of the welfare state by the Labour government of Clement Attlee. It explores the importance of group ownership in the post-war years and how the idea is still about today.
