RETIRED water worker Joe Jazmik is set to star in the final episode of a documentary highlighting the work of United Utilities.
Mr Jazmik, from Egerton, appears in Watermen: A Dirty Business tomorrow at 9pm on BBC Two.
An average 1.7 million people a week have tuned in to the show.
In the sixth episode, Mr Jazmik retires after a 42-year career looking after some of the region’s biggest and most important water pipes.
He said: “I thought it was harrowing being filmed and I’ll be watching the show through my fingers.
“People who are retired sometimes say they don’t know how they ever found time to work”
