A MAN has been summonsed to court after two people died in a road accident in Leigh.
Dean Farrimond, aged 34, of Eden Grove, has been summonsed for two counts of death by dangerous driving and one count of driving with excess alcohol.
The summons relates to a crash between two cars that happened in Twist Lane, Leigh, at the junction with Kendal Grove, on November 30.
The driver of the taxi, 59-year-old Kenneth Grimshaw, suffered multiple injuries and died at the scene.
Emma Houghton, aged 23, a passenger in the taxi, was taken to hospital with a serious head injury and died later that evening.
Farrimond will appear at Wigan Magistrates’ Court on June 30.
