GENEROUS golfers teed-off in memory of a little girl who lost her battle to cancer — raising thousands of pounds for Derian House.
More than 100 players at Turton Golf Club played in a charity match on Sunday in tribute to Little Lever youngster Jessica Green.
Bernice Green, Jessica’s grandmother, said: “It was a wonderful day and we were so touched by all the golfers. It was emotional at times but everyone had a lovely day together.”
Brave Jessica was diagnosed with a diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma — an aggressive brain tumour — in March, 2011, aged just three.
She went on to defy the odds and live until she was six.
She spent her final days at Derian House.
The day raised more than £3,000.
