A HOSPITAL worker transporting dirty linen to a laundrette was injured in a collision with a car.
The 62-year-old man was pushing a laundry cage along Minerva Road at 11am on Tuesday when a Fiat Punto reversed into the cage, knocking him to the ground.
The Royal Bolton Hospital worker suffered “minor” head injuries and is now taking time off.
A spokesman for the Bolton NHS Foundation Trust said: “There was a collision on the hospital site involving a car and a male member of staff who was on foot transporting laundry in cages.
“The staff member sustained some injuries and is off work. The police were involved at the time.”
Police are treating the collision as an accident.
