BREIGHTMET Library is backing a campaign to get children reading by giving away copies of the bestselling book Diary of a Wimpy Kid to local youngsters on Saturday. The library is giving away 50 copies as part of Good Morning Britain’s Just Read campaign to encourage parents to spend 10 minutes reading with their children reading every day.
It is one of 200 library across the UK taking part in the Just Read giveaway, which is supported by charity The Reading Agency and children’s publisher Puffin.
A spokesman from Bolton Library and Museum service said: “The first 50 children can pick up their free copy from 9am.”
