A MAN who handled a stolen credit card and used it to try to withdraw cash has been given a suspended prison sentence.
Martin Thornton, aged 46, of Castle Street, Bolton, pleaded guilty to both charges, relating to incidents on June 19, when he appeared at Bolton Magistrates Court.
He was jailed for six weeks, suspended for a year, with a further two months concurrent for trying to extract cash from the card.
Thornton was also ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work and pay costs of £165.
