A BID for a cash grant by Heys Tornados Football Club has been put on the sidelines by Prestwich area board.
The soccer club had sought financial assistance towards the £721 cost of a community football tournament. The grant bid was submitted to the board's kickstart fund.
But their application has been deferred as a kickstart start-up grant was awarded to the club last July. Officials have been advised to reapply after 12 months.
