CALLING all winners!

One of the premier dates in the North-west business calendar has been set.

Following on from last year's spectacular event, The Bolton News and Bury Times Business Awards 2007 will be held in the Premier Suite at the Reebok Stadium on Thursday, June 28.

Once again, the business communities of Bolton and Bury will gather to celebrate the best that all local sectors have to offer.

The hostess for the evening will be top BBC Radio Five Live presenter Victoria Derbyshire, from Bury, and entertainment will be provided by top North-west comedian and Phoenix Nights star Ted Robbins.

The organisers are expecting to top the previous number of entries in the 10 categories - nearly 100 -after the success of last year's event.

The main sponsor for this year's event is Bolton Council.

Cllr Akhtar Zaman, executive member for regeneration said: "The council, through our Business Bolton brand, is proud to be the major sponsor of the Bolton and Bury Business Awards 2007 and show our support for local business.

"The awards are an important date in the business calendar and celebrate the continuing achievements and successes of local businesses who play an important role in the community."

Keith Davies, director of development and regeneration said: "Celebrating success is important and a successful business sector is essential in achieving our ambitions for Bolton. The awards are a fantastic opportunity to share our achievements."

The awards will be launched next week in The Bolton News, with details on how to enter, the categories and the event itself.
