THE HSBC Global Education Trust is to fund two new bursaries for Bolton School's sixth form.
The money will pay for the education of academically bright pupils from modest backgrounds whose parents would struggle to pay the school's fees.
Candidates must have a good academic track record at their state school and are expecting to have excellent grades in their GCSEs.
Bolton School was granted the funding following a visit from trust representatives last year.
The bursaries will cover school fees, funding for equipment and travel costs. For more details, contact the school on 01204-840201.
