MOTIVATIONAL quotes sent by email, free hot drinks and bacon sandwiches have all been credited with helping employees stay motivated at a Bolton law firm.

Asons Solicitors, based in Bark Street, has introduced a number of extra benefits for employees.

The award-winning firm, which is the largest private sector independent employer in Bolton, has come up with new ways to keep employees enthusiastic.

Since September Asons has introduced a ‘Monday motivation’ quote sent to all employees, email photos so faces are put to the names of the 300 staff, a ‘free vend Monday’ for hot drinks, breakfast club rewards for employees who work extra hours and weekends and business-wide Costo membership.

The company’s charity committee, creative committee and idea-generating programme have also been encouraging staff to get involved with fundraising.

This included a bake-a-thon cake sale fundraiser for Bolton Hospice, a Halloween fancy dress fundraiser for Bolton Lads and Girls Club, a charity football tournament in aid of Children In Need and a mince pie collection for Urban Outreach Christmas hampers.

Daniel Nottingham, Asons’ human resources officer, said: “It’s important that we recognise the talent we have within our organisation, and offer employees a reward package that is very varied.

“Our employee benefits package is highly competitive, with benefits to suit different lifestyles. From our Gourmet Card to the BUPA healthcare plan, there is something for everyone.”

Asons’ social, charity and creative committees meet regularly to suggest new ways of helping employees socialise, contribute to worthy causes and improve their working environment.
