A bank woman who was assaulted during an armed robbery in Horwich and a police officer who was shot at will be speaking for the first time on BBC's Crimewatch tonight.

A reconstruction of the incident will also be played on the programme at 9pm.

Detective Chief Inspector David Law from the Major Incident Team said: "We have been working closely with the Crimewatch team over the last couple of weeks to reconstruct the terrifying incident at the end of last November and I'd like to thank the people of Horwich and surrounding areas for their support and cooperation during the filming.

"I'd encourage everyone in the local community to watch the programme this evening as it may bring back memories of something that you may have felt was insignificant at the time but could now hold the key to solving this crime.

"I'd like to remind the public that there is an increased reward of £50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for this incident and I'd urge anyone with any information to come forward."

"We are determined to catch the people responsible for this frightening incident and will not stop until we find them."

Anyone with further information about the incident should contact the Major Incident Room on 0161 856 5448.
