OFFICE workers and school pupils are being urged to leave their good fashion sense at home in order to raise money for the Garden of Tranquillity appeal.
Bolton Hospice is organising a bad tie day on February 16, in a bid to raise as much as possible to transform the run-down gardens at the facility, which have not been renovated since it opened 14 years ago.
School pupils and office workers are being asked to donate £1 and go to work or the classroom in bad ties.
The appeal aims to create pathways, provide disabled access, and private seating areas where patients can spend quality time with their loved ones.
There will also be a water feature and a sensory garden.
For more information about the bad tie day contact Victoria Butcher at the hospice on 01204 663055.
